Progress…

Up until fairly recently, I had been using Logic on my iBook to make music. In the last six months I switched over to Windows and have been using Ableton Live almost exclusively. The work-flow is entirely different but it makes all those processes in Logic, that were protracted missions to Mars, much simpler to use. Here’s a track that I’ve been working on over the past few days. Please forgive the mix, have only been able to listen on headphones.

The YM2151, aka OPM (FM Operator Type-M) is an eight-channel four-operator sound chip. It was Yamaha’s first single-chip FM synthesis implementation, created originally for the Yamaha DX series of keyboards.
