Bored, stuck and frustrated. Just watch as the LEDs go on and off and relax.
The prodigious and super-talented VBLANK has ported the Arduinome software to the Bliptronic 5000. This could potentially offer an incredibly cost-effective alternative to the monome. Need to get my hands on one and do some hacking. More info here.
My music was used in videos of Jose Olivares‘ Ancient Pixels thesis.
I aim to have my arduinome 90% finished by Sunday.

This is me applying my second coat of tung oil in my ghetto workshop.

My arduinome nears completion…
This is my newest finished song.
| I have loads of other projects on the go. These include finishing my Arduinome enclosure with additional pots and buttons, adding arcade buttons and faders to my guitar, a new song called “Word Wrong” and I really, really, really want to restore an old electric car from the 1970s. |
About a year ago, I stumbled upon the Arduinome project. Back then I felt though it’d be a great build — more cost-effective than a monome and more rewarding. Having said that, I was absolutely petrified about embarking on the soldering epic of the button pads. After a few other kits and bits and pieces (SID2SID, C64 mods etc) I felt ready.
It isn’t hugely difficult but it is time-consuming. I would suggest soldering other kits before doing this. Looking back on my old soldering jobs, I’m glad I took the time to perfect my technique. The tutorial I used can be found here. On to acquiring an enclosure now!
